Children and Youth ActivitiesALL ARE WELCOME

At Southern Community Church of Christ we take the welfare and safety of children seriously. All children's leaders and helpers at Southern Community Church of Christ are made aware of and adhere to the Conference of Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania "Code of practice for responsible leadership in programs with children". They also hold a Working with Children Check from the Department of Justice.
At Southern Community Church of Christ children and youth are an integral part of our community. Like you, we want to offer them the opportunity to grow and mature in safe and constructive environments. We believe involving children and youth in worship and providing opportunities for them to explore life and faith as important parts of their development towards maturity.
To support this Southern Community Church of Christ offers:
Children's Church that runs throughout the school term during our Sunday morning 9:15 am service. The session comprises learning Christian teachings and life values from BIblical themes for toddlers up.

Kidzone Fun and games that run during the 9.15 am service on Sundays when there are school holidays.
Youth Groups Duff (grades 4-6) and Stuff (grades 7-9) are activity nights for kids to get involved and have fun each Friday night during the school term from 7-9 pm.
There is also a Young Adults group that meets casualy for conversation on relevant issues. Call Jeff Weston on 9548 0836 for more details.
Model Club for building model planes, cars and boats. We have new models for a variety ages and tastes or you can finish off one that has been sitting on the bookshelf at home. We have lots of helpful advisors so all skill levels are welcome. This is a great way for parents to spend significant time with their children.

Parents n' Prams: Parents n' Prams is a support group for Parents with pre-school children. They meet fortnightly on a Friday morning in each others homes. Parents n' Prams is a friendly environment created to be a social morning for the parents and a fun time for the children. Volunteer 'grandmas' are often on hand to assist with child care while the parents have a break. For more information contact our office 9584 8499
