Pine Street Community Garden aims to meet the needs of people in the local community, by providing a space for growing plants and vegetables as well as developing new social networks. It is presently in its infancy, seeking grants to help cover the setup costs of wicking beds, water tanks and other infrastructure. The garden has a steering committee and is auspiced by Southern Community Church of Christ.
